What’s a thing you wish schools actually taught?
Deep learning. Absolutely. Getting to the core of something and not look away just because it’s dark. And one thing I especially appreciate about my own school education was the outdoor activities we did regularly. It made life much better, both mind and the physical being benefits from activities outside in natural environments. So I would say be outside more, the world is beautiful and we need to really see it.
Thanks for reading my blogs ❤
Deep thought is an important skill to have. It creates question askers and people who truly want to explore every inch of the world around them. Deep thought also pushes us to self-evaluate.
When I was in high school, I took a required English Lit course, and the professor would bring us outside to the grassy area right outside his classroom. He’d sit cross-legged in front of us in the crunchy grass and lecture about Macbeth. I think most of us just stared up at the sun and half listened, but it was impactful and gave the opportunity to just… think.
